What's on the invoice

Your business block with tax ID, the client's block, number and dates, line items with quantity and unit price, subtotal, discount (percent or amount, taken before tax), tax at any rate with your label, shipping, total due; payment details and notes; a footer line for the registered-company text some countries require. That's what an invoice needs and nothing it doesn't.

PDF without a service

Download PDF uses the browser's own print dialog with a print stylesheet that hides everything but the invoice, so "Save as PDF" gives you a one-page A4 or Letter file with real text — searchable, selectable, small. No watermark, no account, no third-party PDF service seeing your client's address.

Keeping a register

This tool makes invoices; it doesn't remember them beyond the last draft. If you want a list of what's outstanding with days overdue and ageing buckets, the Bill spreadsheet is an invoice template with a register in Pro — it fills the client's details and item prices from lists, and the register keeps the next number. Questions

How do I get a PDF?

Click Download PDF: it opens the browser's print dialog with only the invoice on the page — choose "Save as PDF" as the destination. Every desktop browser has it; on iOS use Share → Print → pinch out to get a PDF.

Is anything uploaded?

No. The invoice is built in your browser; the draft and your business details stay in this browser's storage so the next invoice starts filled in. Nothing is sent to us.

Can I number invoices automatically?

New invoice keeps your details and bumps the number — INV-1041 becomes INV-1042. It does not keep a register; for that, the Bill spreadsheet has one with outstanding balances and ageing.

Which tax does it apply?

Whatever rate and label you type — VAT 20%, GST 10%, Sales tax 8.25%, or 0. Discount is taken before tax; shipping is added after. The maths is shown line by line on the invoice.

Can I use my own logo and colour?

Yes: paste a logo URL (or leave it blank for a plain "Invoice" title) and pick the accent colour used for the rule and the total.
