Licence
In plain language: do whatever you like with the template in your own and your clients' projects, but do not sell it on as a template. Everything below is the same thing in detail.
On this page
One template, unlimited projects — including commercial and client work. Change the code however you like. The free version needs a credit link to Foldout in the footer; Pro does not. Reselling or republishing the template itself is not allowed.
What you can do
Use the template in personal, commercial and client projects, with no limit on the number of sites or campaigns.
Change the markup, styles and structure — delete or add sections, swap the fonts and colours.
Hand the finished result to a client and charge for your work.
Use the template inside your own product, where the end user gets a site or an email rather than the template itself.
What you cannot do
Resell the template, or a substantial part of it, as a template, theme or bundle — whether free or paid.
Publish the template files in a public repository or a file-sharing service.
Remove the attribution from the free version without buying Pro.
Use the template in a site builder or marketplace where your users receive it as a starting theme.
Free version and attribution
The free version is a complete, working template, not a demo. There is one condition: a visible credit link to foldoutkit.com stays in the footer of the published site, or in the footer of the email.
The link must be readable — not hidden with display:none, not shrunk to zero,
and not painted the same colour as the background. If you would rather remove it, that is
exactly what Pro is for.
Pro and bundles
Pro is a one-off payment of $29 per template. It removes the attribution requirement and adds the source files, extra page layouts, and twelve months of updates and email support. A bundle is the same licence applied to every template in it.
The licence is granted to one person or one company. If your team needs several seats, write to us and we will sort it out.
Third-party components
Templates may bundle open-source libraries, icons or fonts owned by others. Those keep their own licences, which ship with the files. Demo photographs are for preview only and are not licensed for redistribution — replace them with your own before publishing.
Term and changes
The licence is perpetual for the version you received. It ends if you breach it, in which case you must stop using the files and delete them — though projects already published in good faith may stay online.
We may update this licence. The version that applies to you is the one published here on the day you downloaded or bought the template, and it is stated in the sidebar.
