A restaurant website builder without the monthly bill

A restaurant site has to answer four questions fast: what do you serve, when are you open, where are you, can I book. This builder starts with those four sections filled with sample copy for a small neighbourhood place — change the dishes and the hours, and you have a site.

The four sections that matter

Menu — groups of dishes typed one per line as name, description, price, laid out in two columns or one, with a note at the bottom for allergens or service. Hours and location — days and times, address, phone that dials on a tap, email, and a map slot you can point at Google Maps. A gallery of six or three photos. A booking form with date, time and guests that posts to whichever form service you use, so requests land in your inbox.

Around them: an about block with a portrait or room photo and a facts list, testimonials, an FAQ for the questions every restaurant gets (walk-ins, vegetarian, children), and a call-to-action band for the Sunday table or the tasting menu.

Updating the menu

Because the page is a file, the menu is a text block in the builder and a list in the HTML. Change a price, export again, upload — a minute. Or edit index.html directly: each dish is one list item. There is no admin panel to learn, and nothing that stops working when a plan lapses. If you need a menu that changes daily from a phone, a hosted tool is the better fit; if it changes weekly and you have a laptop, this is enough.

Hosting and the domain

Static HTML hosts for free on Cloudflare Pages, Netlify or GitHub Pages; connect your own domain at the registrar. The exported page has no dependencies to renew — system fonts, the stylesheet in the folder, no scripts beyond the theme toggle. For a full site with a private-dining page and Schema.org markup for the venue and menu, the Bistro template is the same code with more pages.

Open the landing page builder — free export, no account. Pro removes the credit line for a one-off $9.

Questions

Does the booking form send me an email?

The form posts to the action URL you set — a form service like Formspree forwards it to your inbox. The builder has no server, so it cannot send anything itself.

Can I show two menus (lunch and dinner)?

Yes — add groups named Lunch and Dinner, or turn the menu section into one column and add as many groups as you like, up to eight.

Where do the photos go?

Paste image URLs into the gallery and hero fields, or export first and add the files to the folder. Nothing is uploaded to us.

Is there a watermark?

One text line in the footer, "Built with Foldout". Pro removes it for a one-off $9 and adds the Tailwind source.
