A website builder without a subscription

Builders charge monthly because the page lives on their servers. Ours does not: the page is built in your browser, exported as a file and hosted wherever you like. There is nothing to subscribe to, and no account to create.

What it costs

Nothing to build, nothing to export. The free download keeps a one-line "Built with Foldout" credit in the footer. If you want it gone, Pro is a one-off $9 for the page — no renewal, no per-site licence, and it includes the Tailwind source and a package.json for rebuilding the CSS. That is the whole price list.

Hosting is separate and, for a static page, usually free: Cloudflare Pages, Netlify and GitHub Pages serve a folder of HTML at no cost. A custom domain costs what domains cost, from a registrar, and is not tied to us.

What "no account" means in practice

There is no login because there is no server-side project: what you type is kept in your browser's local storage. That has a consequence worth knowing — the draft is on this browser only, so export when you have something you want to keep. The export is a normal zip file; you can import nothing back, because the file is the result, not a save game.

What you give up

Hosted builders give you an editor you can return to years later and a form backend and analytics in one place. Here you get a file. If you are comfortable editing HTML — even a little — that trade is a good one: the page does what it does forever, without a plan attached. If you would rather never see code, a hosted builder is the honest choice.

Open the landing page builder — free export, no account. Pro removes the credit line for a one-off $9.

Questions

Will the free page have a watermark?

A text line in the footer, "Built with Foldout", linking to this tool. No overlay, no badge over the content. Pro removes the line.

Do I need to come back to renew anything?

No. There is nothing to renew: the exported page is a file, and the Pro purchase is one payment.

Can I edit the page later?

Yes, in two ways: come back to the builder on the same browser (the draft stays), or edit the exported HTML directly — it is written to be edited.

Is my copy uploaded anywhere?

No. The builder has no upload; the preview and the export run in the browser. Only the Pro payment goes through Paddle, our payment provider.
