Whose = the person whose turn it is: (week number + the chore's turn) wrapped around the people list. Change Turn to reshuffle who starts on what.
Per wk is the target; Left is what's still owed this week and turns green at zero. Minutes = ticks × minutes, and that's what Share is worked out on.
Eight weeks ahead
The same rotation, rolled forward. Nobody has to remember whose turn it is.

Every column is the same formula with one more week added, so the list keeps turning as long as the people list stays the same.
Add or remove a person on Setup and the whole table re-deals from the week you're in.
Who does what
This week per person: chores held, how many are done, what's still owed and the share of the minutes.

Share is of the minutes actually done, not of the chores held — a forty-minute dinner is not a five-minute bin run.
Difference is share minus fair share: pink means more than their turn this week, green means less. Over a rotation it should even out.

Eight people rows and twenty chore rows. Leave the spares empty — every count here ignores blanks.
Turn is the chore's place in the queue. Give four chores turns 1–4 and they land on four different people in the same week.
How the formulas work
Every formula in this workbook, in plain words. No macros, nothing hidden. Formulas are shown without the leading = sign.
WhereFormulaWhat it does
Week · Week numberINT((B3-B4)/7)Whole weeks between the rotation start and the week you're looking at. Two dates subtract to a number of days; INT drops the remainder.
Week · WhoseINDEX(crew,MOD($B$5+$E10-1,$B$6)+1)Walks the people list round and round. MOD wraps the count back to zero when it passes the end of the list, and the +1 turns a 0-based position into INDEX's 1-based one.
Week · DoneIF($A10="",0,COUNTA(G10:M10))Counts non-empty day cells — a 1, an x, a name, anything. An empty day means it didn't happen; don't type 0, that counts as a tick.
Week · LeftIF($A10="",0,MAX(0,$C10-N10))What's still owed this week. MAX(0,…) stops it going negative when someone does more than the target.
Week · ShareR10/SUM($U$10:$U$17)Each person's minutes over everyone's minutes. Minutes, not chores — a forty-minute dinner and a five-minute bin run are not the same favour.
Week · person totalsSUMPRODUCT(($F$10:$F$29=$R10)*$O$10:$O$29)Adds up one column where another column matches a name. SUMPRODUCT does the whole 'if the name matches, add the minutes' in one go — no helper column, and it works the same in Google Sheets.
Rotation · cellINDEX(crew,MOD(Week!$B$5+1+$B6-1,Week!$B$6)+1)The Week formula with the column's week offset added, so each column is one week further on.
People · DifferenceG6-H6Share of the minutes minus the fair share (1 ÷ number of people). Pink over five points, green under — one week is noisy, a rotation should even out.
